2007 FIRST VEX Challenge

The 2007 FIRST Vex Challenge is a new game called, "Quad Quandary."

The 2007 FIRST Tech League Game is Called Quad Quandary. The game is played on blue and red alliances. The field is split into quarters by color, two red and two blue. This year’s game piece are small PVC rings; twenty-two of each color are placed on the field at the beginning if the match and three are given to the teams to start with. There are multiple ways to score in this game. Prior to the match there is a twenty-second autonomous period, in which the robots will perform a preset task to attempt to score. A ten-point bonus is added to the score of the team who scores the most during this time. There are four white side goals on the surface of the field. Rings in these are worth one point each. There are single goals placed in the field, which are on casters. Two points are rewarded for rings on the platform and three points are given for those rung on the pole. Finally, rings rung on paired goal, also on casters, are worth five points. The platforms on casters are worth seven points each if they are in your colored quarter at the end of the match.
